For the past 14 years, Guthrie Center resident Chris Carlson has been making a two and one-half hour daily commute to work at Wells Fargo in Des Moines. Thanks to a local opportunity at Guthrie County State Bank, Carlson’s commute just got a lot shorter. Carlson will use his financial prowess and experience in the position of credit analyst at the bank. He says he looks forward to spending more time with his wife and three school-aged children. Guthrie County State Bank President Mike Underwood says his company is fortunate to have found such a qualified candidate close to home.
