We’ve reached the final month of the Greene County Farmer’s Market.
The public can enjoy a variety of locally grown produce, plus baked goods, meat, poultry and other handcrafted items for sale on the east side of the courthouse in Jefferson from 4 to 6:30pm every Tuesday. Non-profit organizations also serve a meal as a fundraiser every week. One of the vendors, Brad Tronchetti from Jefferson, says he enjoys going to see people with like interests.
“You get to see people from all different parts of the community that you know from different aspects of life and they kind of all show up at the same place. So that’s probably one of the fun parts for me.”
Anyone interested in selling locally grown produce or other items at the farmer’s market, the vendor fee is $20 per week. Contact Chris Henning at 515-370-2436 for more information.
