Harvest season is almost here and pretty soon Guthrie County motorists will see large farm implements rolling slowly on the road. Sheriff Marty Arganbright says it’s best to remain patient around these huge machines. “It’s all about patience. It’s all about passing safely, when you actually can pass. Don’t get impatient, pass when you shouldn’t and cause an accident.”
The Iowa Corn Promotion Board estimates corn harvest to begin around the state in the middle of September.

Two members of the Stuart City Council are up for re-election this November. Four year terms are ending for Councilmen James Morgan and Eric Weber. Anyone wishing to run for office can pick up a nomination form at Stuart City Hall and submit it to the Adair County Auditor’s office by September 17th. Election day is November 3rd.
