A deputy was dispatched to the 500 block of State Street in Scranton to investigate the report of a party with loud music. The residents were advised to turn the volume down.

A deputy was advised of an alarm activation at the Greene County Intermediate School in Grand Junction. The building was found to be secure.

A deputy was dispatched to the 1100 block of Lincoln Street in Scranton to assist a female gain entry into her home after she accidentally locked herself from the residence.

A deputy was unable to locate the origin of an abandoned e-911 call that was received by dispatchers from the 1700 block of 220th Street.

Two deputies responded for a medical assist call in Churdan.

Two deputies and Churdan Rescue were dispatched to a reported single vehicle accident that occurred on 140th Street just east of Churdan. Paul Raymond Fay 67, of Churdan was westbound on Highway 4 when his 2000 Chrysler Town and Country minivan entered the south ditch near J Avenue. Fay was transported to the Greene County Medical Center for further evaluation. Only minor damage was reported to the Fay vehicle.

A deputy was dispatched to the 600 block of South 12th Street in Grand Junction to locate the owner of white Labrador running at large. The owner was found and advised of the situation and that next time citations would be issued.

Two deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of State Street in Scranton to assist in trying to locate a  male juvenile that had run away from home. Deputies were then advised that the youth may be in Ralston. He was located and transported to the Greene County Law Enforcement Center and later transported by relatives to the Adolescence Behavior Health Center at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames.

A deputy was able to locate the owner of a cell phone that was found along the roadway on State Street in Scranton.

A deputy checked a vehicle that had experienced a flat tire on Highway 144 south of Rippey. The tire was soon changed by the owner and the vehicle continued on its way.

A deputy was dispatched to Churdan to help mediate a verbal domestic altercation near the city park.

Friday, August 28th

After an investigation, a deputy will be charging a female in the 500 block of Bell Street in Churdan with Harassment.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
