A crowd of people gathered at one of Perry’s food trucks Thursday to officially welcome it to the community as a new member of the Perry Chamber.
A ribbon cutting was held at Absolutely Delicious, also known as Mo’s Gyros, around lunch time.
Owner Motassum Meri thanked his family, attendees and the community for their support and helping make his dream come true. He says he has fought to keep the truck in Perry and hopes that other establishments will come to town and support the community. Meri mentioned that his location, near the Perry Market Place on the northwest corner of the intersection of Willis Avenue and 1st Street, is a beautiful area and his hope is that others will see the potential and help Perry grow.
