A deputy was dispatched to investigate the report of a red pickup selling frozen products from his vehicle. The deputy located and identified the driver of the pickup and advised him he did not have the proper credentials to solicit in Greene County. The male subject thanked the deputy and left the county.
Two deputies assisted Jefferson Police Officers with the arrest of several persons in the 400 block of North Olive Street.
A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with a call at the Walton Woods Apartments.
A deputy was not able to locate a possible intoxicated driver leaving the Kum & Go in Jefferson.
A deputy assisted jail personnel with an unruly female inmate during booking into the jail.
A deputy transported a male prisoner to the Greene county Medical Center for medical attention.
A deputy was dispatched to the 1000 block of Main Street East in Grand Junction for a domestic altercation. The deputy was able to mediate a peaceful resolution.
Wednesday, August 19th
A deputy checked an abandoned vehicle that was off the roadway on Highway 30 near Pioneer Avenue.
A deputy assisted a Department of Transportation enforcement officer with escorting a semi-tractor trailer to Sparky’s One Stop in Jefferson after the driver was issued a citation for no log book.
A deputy was advised of a transient hitchhiker near the Carroll/Greene County line.
A deputy was dispatched to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of 130th and L Avenue. A 2000 Chevrolet Blazer that was being driven by Kristen Rae Lefebvre 16, of rural Churdan, was northbound on L Avenue when she failed to stop at the stop sign and struck an eastbound 1998 Nissan Maxima being driven by Jacob Dennis Smith 36, of rural Paton. Both drivers were transported to the Greene County Medical Center by the Churdan Rescue for further evaluation. Both vehicles were estimated to be a total loss. Kristen Lefebvre was issued a citation for Failure to Obey a Stop Sign.
A deputy was dispatched to the 700 block of State Street in Scranton to mediate a verbal altercation between two siblings residing at the residence.
In all case when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
