As we’ve reported, Adair & Guthrie County Emergency Management was recently presented with two awards at the Region 7 Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) Conference in Nebraska City, Nebraska. One award was for the department’s effective use of social media. The other was for outstanding achievement in planning, prevention and risk reduction in the community. Emergency Management Coordinator Bob Kempf says his department’s’ private sector partners are important to their success. “Our private sector with our businesses and our industry, is just as important in emergency management as what our governmental organizations are.”
