The Stuart Lions Club will be hosting the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus next week. It features all the classic circus attractions like a lion, tiger, clowns and trapeze artists, all performing under a big top tent. Tickets are on sale now and Stuart Lions Club member Pat Sargent says tickets sold before the show go to a good cause. “Any tickets that we sell ahead of time, we get a portion of the proceeds. So, it generates good revenue for us to go ahead with some of our other goals that we have set out for helping people that are hearing impaired and have vision issues.”
There will be two chances to see the circus when it comes to Stuart next Monday, August 24th. Shows are at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at a cost of $10 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under from any Lions Club member, at First State Bank, Stuart Public Library and Stuart True Value. Sargent will be our guest today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County to tell us more about the Stuart Lions Club. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
