ADM volleyball opens its second week of practice Monday, with the focus shifting from conditioning to team drills centered on technique and game-situation execution.

That leaves the Tigers with just one full week of practice before kicking off the season after the second day of school, Tuesday, Aug. 25, with a four-team invite at Newton.

One week later comes ADM’s first conference game of the season, Sep., 1 at Boone. The Tigers then run off a pair of invites the rest of the week, starting with the six-team Tiger Invitational Sept. 3 at ADM High’s North gym, followed by some tough competition against primarily Class 5A-schools in a six-team invite at Valley High School in West Des Moines.

The following two weeks feature three straight single matches, two against conference opponents in Perry and Ballard. ADM wraps up the month of September at the Dubuque Invitationals at Hempstead High School Sept. 26.

The last month of the season (Sept. 29 – Oct. 22) features a lot of traveling for the Tigers, with three straight conference road games at Winterset, Carlisle and Bondurant-Farrar, followed by the annual non-conference showdown with rival Dallas-Center Grimes at home Oct. 15.

Following a seven-team invite at Knoxville High Oct. 17, ADM wraps up the regular Oct. 22 against defending conference champion Carroll.
