Funeral services for John T. Sailer, age 79, of Scranton will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the Scranton United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Scranton from 5 – 7 P.M.  The casket will be moved to the church at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday where visitation will resume until the time of service.  Burial will be in the Scranton Township Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Iowa National Guard.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Scranton and online condolences may be left for the family at dahnandwoodhouse.com

John is survived by a son Sean Sailer of Scranton; a daughter Loretta Byerly of Scranton; two step-daughters: Nicki Heywood of Des Moines and Addie Heywood of Minneapolis; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister Carolyn Franey of Houston, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
