Though students start class on Monday the 24th in the Perry School District, teachers will be there starting next week to make sure everything is ready to go.
The Perry Chamber Board of Directors will greet staff from across the district with a free Teacher Appreciation Breakfast Monday morning.
“We just let them meet the Chamber Board and let them know we’re here to partner with them in any way that we can to help promote the community and the community school district. (After breakfast) we get a few moments to introduce ourselves at the beginning of the whole assembly and everything else just basically to remind them that we are here, we are a resource and encourage them to kindly continue to support the local amenities. To shop local and really just get involved with the group.”
That’s Executive Director Bob Wilson who says the partnership between the Chamber and the Schools is crucial for the success of the community.
This year’s breakfast is being donated by the Hotel Pattee.
