The Adel City Council will meet in regular session tonight.
Items on the agenda include approval of Bobby Huntoon as the Assistant Fire Chief in light of Former Assistant Chief Jeff Renner’s resignation from the leadership position, an update on easements to maintain ditches and creeks within the City and and update from McClure Engineering in regards to the recent flood damage survey.
The Council will then consider hiring Reynolds Design to work on the old swimming pool site plan project, approve the second readings of ordinances amending water use, sewer and garbage charges and accept the public improvements and final payment for the Adel Family Aquatic Center.
The eighth payment for the downtown façade rehabilitation project will then be considered, along with an invoice for the demolition of the old pool, changes to the fire department’s operating guidelines and bylaws, an appointment of Bill Kimber to the Library Board and an appointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The meeting takes place at 6pm at the Adel City Hall.
