Main Street Guthrie Center is always taking part in new activities and events in the City’s downtown, and Director Julie Bailey says a larger volunteer base could allow them to do even more. She says they currently have volunteers working in the fields of beautification, promotion, economic restructuring and organization. “If people would like to get involved with Main Street Guthrie Center, and we would love to have them, they can choose from one of those four committees. It doesn’t have to be a large commitment of time. Even if somebody only has one hour a month, we can find something for them to do. The other thing is, we now have a volunteer database. If people just want to be called upon whenever we need them for something, we have the capability to do that now.”
