The West Central Valley cross country team is embarking on a cross country trip today. Activities Director Tod Broman says coach Mike Vokes is taking his team to do some training in the Rocky Mountains. “Our cross country coach is taking the team out to Estes Park, Colorado for their week-long team camp. Besides doing some high altitude running and training, they’ll also be doing team building activities and other things, in order to remain a cohesive group. He says one of the activities they’ll be doing is whitewater rafting.”
Broman says the West Central Valley Run Club provides some financial assistance for student athletes to go on the trip. This is the third year the team has gone to Colorado.
