The Greene County Chamber golf outing brought in several businesses and individuals to the Jefferson Community Golf Course on Friday.
Chamber Tourism and Events Coordinator Angie Pedersen says 15 businesses participated in the golf outing and four businesses were hole sponsors. Edward Jones won the best-shot tournament with a score of 57 on the 72-par course. Other prizes were given out for longest drive, closest to the pin and longest putt.
The evening meal was catered by Hy-Vee and they served lasagna, garlic bread and salad. Angie’s Tea Garden provided five different kinds of cheesecake for dessert.
Pedersen wants to thank everyone who supported the golf outing and made it another success.
“The crew of people I had working with me, the volunteers (like) Brandon Gusthoff had done it in years past before so he helped us out, along with Jason Cerveny and Sheilah Pound so we had a great crew of people. I don’t think any of us really needed to be there, Micah (Destival) had it covered so well and his staff was fantastic.”
She would also like to thank all the businesses that participated in the event.
