Greene County 4-H qualifiers are preparing for this year’s Iowa State Fair.

Greene County Iowa State University Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Sarah Jo Reynolds says about 37 static and communication exhibits along with 21 livestock entries are competing at the state fair.

All static exhibitors must turn in their projects to the Extension office in Jefferson by this Friday at 4:30pm.  Those showing their food and nutrition exhibits must submit their projects by Monday, August 10th at 4:30pm.

Extension Director Lori Mannel urges everyone to support the 4-H’ers at the state fair.

“Go check out the Greene County exhibits because I would put us up against any other county because of the quality and the creativity that our youngsters have in the 4-H program.”

The state fair is from August 13th through the 23rd.
