An Omaha man suffered minor injuries after losing control of his vehicle in a rollover accident Wednesday in Greene County.

Chief Deputy Jack Williams says at 5:36pm, a deputy and the Grand Junction Fire and Rescue Units responded to the single vehicle crash at Iowa Highway 144 and 215th Street.  20 year-old Juan Romero was traveling south on the highway when he lost control of his 2010 Ford Transit Van and rolled the vehicle several times into the ditch.  Williams says the victim wasn’t familiar with the road and tried to take a sharp turn before losing control.

Romero suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Greene County Medical Center by Grand Junction Rescue for further treatment.  He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The vehicle is considered to be a total loss and Romero was cited for failure to maintain control.
