We’re now one week away from the bond referendum special election in Dallas County on August 4th.
The single issue on the ballot is Proposition A which reads as follows:
Shall the County of Dallas, State of Iowa, issue its General Obligation Bonds in an amount not exceeding $16,800,000 for the purpose of designing, constructing, erecting equipping, and furnishing a new Sheriff’s Office – Law Enforcement Center, with related site improvements?
Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard encourages anyone with questions on the issue to contact him.
“I probably get around half a dozen messages a day and I will return your phone call and talk to you about these issues. If you want to come in for a visit, and take a look at what we’re dealing with, I will give you a private tour or tour your family and friends through the facility and show you how it’s currently set up.”
You can hear part two of our conversation with the Sheriff on today’s Let’s Talk Dallas County on AM 1310 KDLS and the new 99.7 FM during the 9am, noon and 5pm hours.
