A meeting between West Central Conference school officials, representatives from the Iowa High School Athletic Assocation and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, are meeting with Grand View Christian High School officials today, to discuss whether they are a good fit to the join the conference. Grand View Christian would be by far the most eastern located school in the conference, located on the northeast side of Des Moines. The distance between schools like Guthrie Center and Panorama, and Grand View Christian would be about an hour. Along with that distance, is concerns of Grand View Christian’s size, according to West Central Valley Activities Director Tod Broman. Their enrollment is just 90 students. The average enrollment of a high school in the West Central Activities Conference is nearly twice that at 170 students.
