Time is running out to register for the annual Greene County Chamber Golf Outing.

Tourism and Events Coordinator Angie Pedersen says the outing will be at the Jefferson Community Golf Course on Friday.  Chamber members can sign up a team of four for $175 and a hole sponsor is $125.  If members want to register for both, it is $275 which includes an evening meal.  Lunch will be provided for $5 and cart rental is another $25.

Registrations for the outing starts at 10:15am in the clubhouse and the shotgun start for the four-person best shot tournament begins at 11am.  Pedersen describes some of the other details of the event.

“There is a limit of 18 teams and there will be prizes that have been donated by Chamber members.  There’ll be prizes for men’s and women’s longest drive, men’s and women’s longest putt and as always they’re working on games (and) getting those lined up (for) the individuals holes and that makes for a good time.”

For those Chamber members that want to come to the evening meal, it is $15.  A rain date is scheduled for August 7th.  The deadline to sign up for the golf outing is by July 30th.  Call the Chamber office in Jefferson at 386-2155.
