2:34 pm, a deputy was unable to locate a reported erratic driver on Highway 30 near R Avenue.
4:19 pm, a deputy was advised of a suspicious male subject on foot near Highway 3o, East of Jefferson. The male was never located by the deputy.
5:05 pm, a deputy was dispatched to the 700 block of Walnut Street in Scranton to talk with a female about a personal property civil issue.
10:13 pm, a deputy assisted personnel from the Grand Junction Rescue and Greene County Emergency Medical Services with a medical call in the 100 block of East Main Street in Grand Junction.
11:56 pm, a deputy was dispatched to the vicinity of 8th and Hager Street in Grand Junction for the report of fireworks being fired off. The deputy located the parties involved and confiscated the remaining fireworks.

2:09 am, a deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction for the report of a suspicious person. The identity of the two persons in question was determined and advised to return to their residence.
8:25 am, a deputy was advised of the theft of three 5 gallon gasoline containers full of gas from a garage in the 1800 block of 235th Street. Nothing other than the fuel was reported taken.
9:30 am, a deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Office with a residential alarm activation call while the police officer was responding to another call. The deputy was dispatched to the 400 block of East Lincolnway and found everything to be secure.
6:34 pm, a deputy was advised of a dog locked in a car at the swimming area of Spring Lake Park. The described vehicle was not located upon the deputy’s arrival.
8:20 pm, a deputy was advised of 4 head of cattle that had possibly run away from a farmstead in the 500 block of I Avenue.
8:20 pm, a deputy assisted a male subject in the 1000 block of East Main Street in Grand Junction with a medical condition.
11:00 pm, a deputy and Grand Junction Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a reported single vehicle rollover accident that occurred on 185th street just west of V Avenue. A 2013 Honda CRV that was being driven by Chandler Matthew Carrick 16, of Perry, was westbound on 185th Street when he lost control of his vehicle and it entered the north ditch. Carrick and two other juvenile, also in the vehicle, were transported to the Greene County Medical Center for further observation. The accident is under investigation at this time with charges pending.

12:48 pm, a deputy was dispatched for cattle on the roadway, east of Grand Junction on Highway 30. The owner of the cattle was advised and put the cattle back into the pasture.
1:12 pm, a deputy was dispatched to the 900 block of Main Street East in Grand Junction for a physical domestic altercation. After an investigation the deputy arrested Jonathan Dale Laue 38, of Grand Junction for Domestic Abuse Assault-Simple.
2:36 pm, a deputy and a Jefferson Police Officer responded to a reported hit and run two vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 30 and M Avenue. A 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup that was being driven by Jerry Dean Vincent 80, Of Jefferson was southbound on M Avenue and approaching the Highway 30 stop sign, when a 2000 Ford Focus that was driven by Nicholas Anthony Balderas 23, of Bagley, was westbound on Highway 30 and attempted to turn onto M Avenue, striking the Vincent Vehicle. Balderas then left the scene of the accident. He was later found at a residence in Jefferson and placed under arrest by the deputy and a Jefferson Police Officer. Nicholas Balderas was charged with OWI – 2nd Offense, Interference with Official Acts, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Driving While License Denied/Suspended/Canceled/Revoked. No injuries were reported but the Vincent pickup sustained an estimated $5500 in damages and $3500 to the Ford Focus.
5:30 pm, a deputy was advised by the St. Anthony’s Hospital in Carroll that they are treating a male subject for a dog bite that occurred in Greene County. Both the dog owner and the person bitten were from Carroll County.
7:05 pm, a Jefferson Police Officer tried to initiate a traffic stop in Jefferson which led to a pursuit into the county. Two deputies and the sheriff joined in the pursuit on multiple county roads and eventually required putting out stop sticks at 215th Street and Granite Avenue. The pickup passed over the stop sticks and proceeded onto Highway 30,west bound, turning south on Eaton Avenue in an attempt to get into Scranton. Deputy David Kersey preformed a successful pit maneuver and the vehicle slid into the east ditch. Arrested at the scene was Anthony Charles Kennedy 33, for a Probation Violation, Operation of a Motor Vehicle While under the Influence, Interference with Official Acts and Eluding.
7:16 pm, a deputy was advised of a dog that was chained out in the sun at a residence in the 400 block of South 9th Street in Grand Junction.
9:27 pm, a deputy was advised of a runaway juvenile from the 600 block of State Street in Scranton.
11:56 pm, a deputy was unable to find the source of several abandoned E-911 calls that mapped to a location in the 1200 block of 230th Street.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
