The Iowa High School Athletic Association Class 1A state baseball tournament ended earlier than Coon Rapids-Bayard would have liked, as the Crusaders fall 8-1 to perennial powerhouse Martensdale-St. Marys in the opening round at Principal Park ,in Des Moines. They end their season with a record of 29-7; Martensdale-St. Marys advances to the Class 1A semifinals ,where they face Newman-Catholic.
