Although we’re still over six months away from the Iowa Caucus, the presidential race is already heating up. Candidate Donald Trump has made several polarizing comments over the past several days, including some denouncing United States Senator and Vietnam Prisoner Of War John McCain. State Representative Clel Baudler says those comments cost Trump his vote. “One of the biggest things I hear about Trump, people say, ‘he says what everyone else is thinking and he’s the only one who has the guts, blah blah blah.’ In my opinion, regardless of how you feel about John McCain, Donald Trump has lost the moral authority to be Commander in Chief of our military forces, because of statements he’s made about John McCain. He’s way off base.”

Baudler adds that he doesn’t have a favorite candidate yet, though he’s watching several closely.
