According to Iowa State University, more than half of all farmland in the state is rented. In order to further educate the public on the increasingly popular concept of leasing farmland, Adair County Extension is holding a public meeting next week. Agriculture Program Coordinator Kathy Rohrig says the meeting aims to address questions from landowners, tenants and anyone else interested in the process of leasing farmland. It begins at 9 a.m., Thursday, July 23rd at the Warren Cultural Center Auditorium in Greenfield and is expected to wrap up by noon.
