The Guthrie Center Tigers baseball team will have their hands full when they face CAM of Anita tonight in Van Meter for round one of the Class 1A District 13 baseball tournament. The Tigers have an even 14-14 record on the season, held up by a .249 team batting average and 4.71 team earned run average. Similarly, CAM has a batting average of .327 and an earned run average of 4.38. Guthrie Center does have the advantage of speed on the base paths, though. Their 136 stolen bases as a team is one of the best in Class 1A. CAM, as a squad, has stolen just 87 bags. First pitch between Guthrie Center and CAM scheduled for 5 p.m. at Van Meter.
