A Jefferson woman, and former counselor, is sentenced to probation for an incident in 2013.
According to court documents, 31 year-old Christina Marie Heath was sentenced to two years of probation on two misdemeanors for lascivious conduct with a minor and indecent exposure charges. She was also ordered to pay fines, court costs and restitution.
The charges stem from an incident when Heath was sexually involved a high school teenager, and former client of hers, following her employment termination with Life Connections. According to Iowa Code, counselors are not allowed to be in relationships with clients until one year following termination of employment, which Heath violated.
As part of the judgement, Heath must also register as a sex offender with the Iowa Sex Offender’s Registry for ten years.
