With heat indices well into the triple digits this week, the blazing temperatures can be dangerous to our pets. Linda Shelley with Panora PETS says there’s a simple summer rule to follow when driving around with your animals. “Don’t leave your pet in a car, even with the windows cracked. If it’s 85 degrees outside, it can be 102 degrees in the car in ten minutes, or 120 degrees in a half hour. It can be fatal to your pet.”
Shelley reminds pet owners to give their animals plenty of fresh, clean water to drink this summer.
