Guthrie County Public Health is working on their Community Health Needs Assessment. The study, done every three years, paints a picture of health in Guthrie County. Public Health Director Jotham Arber says health can have a large socioeconomic impact on a community. “There are a lot of things that play into that as well. When a community grows healthier, you begin to have an economic uptick. As that economic uptick happens, the community begins to grow, because your people are healthier and businesses come into healthier communities. You start to see the level of jobs rise and level of poverty fall.”
We’ll wrap up our conversation with Arber, talking about the Community Health Needs Assessment today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com
