A deputy assisted a Carroll County Deputy with a traffic stop near B Avenue in Greene County.

A deputy was dispatched to the city park in Rippey to check a vehicle that was parked on 3rd Street for several days. The vehicle was found to have a flat tire and the owner was determined.

A deputy was dispatched to the 900 block of Stanton Street in Scranton to investigate the theft of prescription medication. The theft is under investigation with charges pending.

Friday, July 3rd

A deputy was dispatched to the 700 block of Lincoln Street in Scranton to help an elderly male who had fallen from his motorized scooter. The male was not injured and the deputy helped him back into his chair.

A deputy was advised of a vehicle on its side, in the ditch at M Avenue and 210th Street. The 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup is owned by Cory James Schwering 20, of Scranton. Schwering was not at the scene upon the deputy’s arrival and the pickup was towed to the impound lot in Jefferson. The accident is under investigation at this time.

A deputy was dispatched to the 300 block of East Paton Street in Paton to investigate the theft of personal property from the residence.

A deputy was advised of a motorized scooter that was having mechanical problems in Grand Junction.

A deputy was dispatched to the 600 block of East Main Street in Grand Junction for a reported careless driver that nearly struck a child that was riding his bicycle. The identity of the driver was determined.

A deputy spoke with a Grand Junction resident about the sale of his vehicle by a relative.

A deputy was advised by the United Bank of Iowa of a male cashing fraudulent checks in three of their locations. The deputy will be viewing the banks video.

A deputy is investigating the theft of car keys taken from a vehicle that was parked in the 600 block of Main Street West in Grand Junction.

A deputy located a male subject in the 200 block of Lawrence Street in Dana that was wanted by Boone County on outstanding warrants. The deputy arrested Kohl Milton Fisher 20, and transported him to the Boone-Greene County line for transport by a Boone County Deputy.

Saturday, July 4th

Dispatchers at the Greene County Law Enforcement Center received an abandoned E-911 call that mapped to a residence in the 300 block of South 7th street in Grand Junction. The deputy found everyone to be safe and secure at the residence.

A deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction for the report of fireworks being set off. The deputy spoke with several residents about the use of illegal fireworks.

A deputy was not able to locate a reported careless and erratic driver that was southbound on Highway 4 from Jefferson.

A deputy was out of position and unable to respond to a careless driver concern on Highway 30 near Carroll County.

A deputy spoke with a female about a child custody civil issue in Scranton.

A deputy was dispatched to a trespassing concern on 240th Street near S Avenue.  Both parties involved were spoken with and they advised that they will work on a mutual agreement to remedy the situation.

A deputy was dispatched to D Avenue and 125th Street for a male subject sitting in his car on the roadway. After a preliminary field investigation the deputy arrested Robert Derrick Sheber 44 of Elkader, Iowa, for Operating While Intoxicated-1st  Offense, Open Container, Driving While Suspended-Driving While Denied, Suspended, Canceled or Revoked.

A deputy was advised by the ER Staff at the Greene County Medical Center of a female that required medical treatment after being bitten by a family members house cat in the 700 block of Sand Street in Churdan. The cat will be in quarantine at the Veterinary Clinic in Lake City.

A deputy, Greene County Emergency Medical Services personnel and Grand Junction Rescue all responded to a 4-wheel ATV accident that occurred in the 1500 block of T Avenue.  Terry Lynn Lowmiller 51, was transported to the Greene County medical Center for her injuries.

A deputy was advised of fireworks being set off in the 1100 block of Lincoln Street in Scranton. The source of the fireworks was not determined.

A deputy was advised of afterhours swimming at the swimming pool in Grand Junction. No one was located upon the deputy’s arrival.

Sunday, July 5th

A deputy initiated a traffic stop for speeding on 220th Street and T Avenue and subsequently arrested Brennan Richard Tabor 27 of Morgan City, Louisiana, for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance-1st Offense.

A deputy was dispatched to the 400 block of State Street in Scranton to help mediate a family civil issue.

A deputy was dispatched to the 2200 block of W Avenue to talk with the property owner about persons trespassing on his property.

The Churdan and Greene County EMS responded to a medical call in the 700 block of North Street in Churdan.

A deputy responded to an alarm activation at the People’s Trust and Savings Bank in Scranton. A key holder and the deputy determined the bank to be secure.

A deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction to help mediate a verbal domestic altercation.

A deputy was advised of a one vehicle traffic accident that occurred in the county with the driver leaving the scene. The driver was contacted and advised that he would need to fill out the accident report to the state.

A deputy spoke with a dog owner in the 500 block of 11th Street in Grand Junction about keeping his dog on a leash when outside.

A deputy was asked to help locate a Churdan resident and inform him about a medical decision needed for his son.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
