The 2015 “Dare to Discover” Greene County Fair kicks off tomorrow.
Tomorrow’s events include static exhibit judging in Clover Hall along with the swine, beef pen-of-three and rabbit and poultry check-ins in the evening. Tuesday finishes up with the 4-H and FFA dog agility show at the bus barn at 6pm. Greene County Iowa State University Extension Director Lori Mannel talks about what she’s looking forward to the most with the static exhibits.
“Just so much talent, I think that’s what I’m looking forward to at these static exhibits. Kids who, maybe this is a potential career, if they’re wanting to go into woodworking or welding a piece. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s out there and what not only the kids do but also what the general public does.”
The Grandstand entertainment for Friday, Saturday and Sunday will also see a change. Friday features Pat Waters and the Chainlink Band from Texas, Saturday brings the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Tractor and Truck Pull and Sunday wraps up with the Grand River Rodeo.
KGRA will be there broadcasting live everyday of the fair from 10am to 5pm.
