Rain is expected to keep falling over the Raccoon River Valley through this evening, with an additional up to one-half inch possible.
The flood warning that was issued early Friday, for the North Raccoon River between the Greene and Dallas County Line and Adel, is expected to be lifted this morning. The latest data from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers shows the North Raccoon River near Perry has dropped down to 12 feet since cresting a half-foot above the flood stage of 15 feet last night.
Buttrick Creek near Grand Junction however remains almost nine feet above its flood stage of 12 feet and the Middle Raccoon River near Bayard is 3.4 feet above its flood stage of 14 feet.
