Perry qualified for the 2015 State Soccer Tournament Saturday at Dewey Field

Both the Perry and Adel Desoto Minburn High School boys soccer teams are headed to Des Moines this week to compete in the state tournament.

The Bluejays qualified for state for the second year in a row when they defeated Dallas Center Grimes Saturday, in a 2-1 2A sub-state final game in Perry.

The Tigers took on Creston in their 2A sub-state game Saturday in Adel, punching a ticket to state for the fourth time in the last five seasons with a 3-0 victory.

Seventh seed ADM will now take on the number two seed Cedar Rapids-Xavier at the Cownie Soccer Complex Thursday with kick off at 2:35pm.

Fifth seed Perry will take the field just 10 minutes later, when they play four seeded Central Clinton Dewitt.
