We’ve told you about the teen and adult summer reading programs at the Perry Public Library but we certainly can’t forget about all the things planned for the kids.
Children’s Librarian Suzanne Kestel has broken the program up into four different age groups this year. The Wonderful Wee Wonders are for those between birth and age two, the Fantastic Firefighters are kids between ages two and five, those who have completed kindergarten through second grade are the Powerful Police Officers and third through fifth graders are the Mighty Military.
In addition to reading, Kestel says they’re also encouraging kids to give back to the community.
“We have two ways that they can actually be heroes this summer by giving. In June they can give to the Humane Society (of Perry) and in July they can give to the (Perry) Food Pantry.”
The program continues through August. For more information or to sign up, CLICK HERE.
