The ADM girls golf team placed 7th out of eight teams at the two-day 2015 Iowa girls golf state tournament, which wrapped up Tuesday, at American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown.
The Tigers shot a two-day, 36-hole score of 777, firing a 396 on Monday and a 381 on Tuesday. Washington lead wire-to-wire to win the state title handily with a 698. The Demons were follwed by Humboldt (722), Dubuque Wahlert (733), Newton (743), Fairfield (756), Western Dubuque (768), ADM (777) and Storm Lake (822).
ADM’s top two performances came from its pair of seniors, Taylor Boorn and Lexi Owen, who shot a 189 and 191, respectively. The Tigers’ scoring four was rounded out by sophomore Lindsey lange (197) and junior Nikki Bever (203).
Tania Teleford shot a 210 and Bailey Danner a 221.
