The Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce is in search of a new director as Karina Ward will vacate the position on June 12th.
Ward has been with the Chamber since 2013. She recently announced plans to pursue an opportunity in her hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Until then, she will continue to work with the Chamber Board of Directors to manage the transition and begin searching for a replacement.
Chamber President Doug Zeigler says Ward has been an invaluable, motivated leader for both the Chamber and the Adel community.
“While we are sorry to see her go, we are so very fortunate to have benefited from Karina’s leadership. We wish Karina the best of luck in her future endeavors and sincerely appreciate everything she has done for the Chamber and the Adel community. She has brought a sense of energy and enthusiasm to the Chamber that will be hard to replace” says Zeigler.
He credits Ward as an instrumental part of the City’s $1 million facade project, due to her help in securing a $500,000 grant from the Iowa Economic Development Authority and her role as leader of the project team.
The Chamber does not anticipate any changes to current services provided or upcoming events. The office will operate with part-time staff and support of the Board until the director position is filled.
