ADM girls soccer’s bid for its second three-game wining streak was thwarted Thursday night in Grimes, as Dallas-Center Grimes took a hard-fought contest from the Tigers, 1-0.

The two sides played to a 0-0 stalemate through one half, and then the Fillies got the only goal they would need midway through the second half.

Tigers head coahc Kelsey Dolder said ADM had some good looks on goal but simply couldn’t convert. Allie Cook was superb distributing the ball from her midfield position, while she and Emily Hofmann had several very good looks on goal.

Dolder also praised the play of freshman defender Carli Hansen, whom Dolder said shut down DCG’s attacks from the Tigers back line.

After staring the season 3-0, ADM is 2-3 in its last five games. It’s the third time the Tigers have been shut out this season.

ADM returns home for conference play Tuesday night at 7 p.m. against Boone.
