Stuart Congregate Meals is holding one of their major fundraisers this weekend. Site manager Bob Cook says the annual baked potato bar helps them to be able to provide their service year round. “It’s a critical service to the elderly and those needing nutrition. Elderbridge funds us, but it’s partial. It doesn’t cover all of our expenses, including our rent and some of our facility costs. There’s a twice a year need for some successful fundraisers.”
The free will offering baked potato bar will take place Sunday, May 31st from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at Stuart Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. Cook will be our guest on Let’s Talk Guthrie County tomorrow to talk more about the fundraiser.
