Many governmental offices in Guthrie County will be closed tomorrow for the Memorial Day holiday. The Guthrie County Courthouse and all departments within it are closed Monday.  The Courthouse will return to normal operations Tuesday, opening at 8am.

City Hall offices in Stuart, Panora and Guthrie Center are all closed Monday as well.  The public libraries and post offices will also be closed in each of those towns.

And our final closure notice: the Guthrie County Extension & Outreach Office in Guthrie Center is closed Monday but will reopen for normal hours at 8am Tuesday.

Several Memorial Day cemetery observances will take place in west central Iowa Monday morning. The Dexter American Legion will hold a service at 11 a.m. at the Dexter Cemetery, with a free will offering luncheon to follow at the Legion Hall. The Menlo American Legion will hold their service at 10:30 a.m. at the Rose Hill Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Menlo Community Building. In Stuart, there will be a Memorial Day service at Calvary Cemetery at 8:30 a.m. and at South Oak Grove Cemetery at 9:30 a.m.
