The consistently #1 ranked Panorama Panthers boys golf team are heading to the Class 2-A Boy’s State Golf Tournament at the Ames Country Club, beginning on Friday. The Panthers won their Sectional at Lake Panorama National Golf Course yesterday with a score of 309, compared to second place Des Moines Christian’s 327. Panorama had the top 3 golfers as well, including; Will Babcock with a 72, Jordan Eng with a 74 and George Appleseth shot a 78. Head Coach Hal Rossow says the Panthers were able to practice at the Ames Country Club a couple weeks back and liked it. “They did pretty well on the course. It’s a lot shorter than the Panorama course.”
