As previously reported, State Representative Clel Baudler proposed a bill this year to increase penalties for those caught using and distributing synthetic drugs. The bill passed unanimously in the State House and a Senate subcommittee but has yet to see the Senate floor. Baudler says the bill has now been sent to standings. “That means that, the way I look at it, they’re using it as a bargaining chip. They’re going to want something and then they’ll give us something. That’s kind of the way standings work. A lot of people refer to it as a ‘Christmas Tree’.”
Representative Baudler will be our guest today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County to give us updates on news from the State House as they continue to work overtime this session. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com
