As previously reported, the Guthrie County Historical Village opens for the season on Friday. While some may think the museum sits dormant during the offseason, curator Kristine Jorgensen says some of the major groundskeeping work happens when the site is closed. “We work so hard to make sure everything is set right down here at the museum and ready to go. We’ve got a number of flower beds and that takes a lot of work to get in shape for the visitors. We really want the museum to look as best as it can to put on a good display for everybody.”
The Village has kept their admission prices low again this year. Adults get in for $2, kids aged 6-17 are admitted for $1 and kids five and under get in free.

The estimated projected completion date is August 21st.
