Raccoon Valley Radio was again recognized for excellence in news coverage by the Iowa Broadcast News Association at their annual convention this past weekend.
Guthrie County News Director Andrew Zupkoff received first place in the small market public affairs category. The station also received second place for overall excellence in small market radio, along with recognition for reporting, weather coverage, use of online media, use of actuality and in-depth/series.
The annual convention and awards banquet took place Saturday in Johnston and featured several informative sessions, along with a keynote speech from CNN’s Christine Romans.
