Thursday, March 2nd
A deputy assisted the Iowa State Patrol with a traffic accident on Highway 30 at Pioneer Avenue. No injuries were reported due to the accident.
A deputy assisted in locating an elderly male that had driven away from his home in Mitchellville. The deputy made cell phone contact with male and he indicated that he had just pulled into the Casey’s General store in Panora. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office was advised of his location.
A deputy spoke with a Grand Junction resident about the possible criminal activity of a male subject.
A deputy checked an abandoned vehicle that was off the roadway on the Highway 144 diagonal near 275th Street. A 24 hour removal tag was placed on the vehicle.
A deputy was dispatched to remove a reported dead coyote from the roadway on Highway 30 near R Avenue.
A deputy was dispatched to the 300 block of 130th Street to investigate a trespassing concern.
Friday, March 3rd
A deputy was asked to check a reported small brush fire on private property north of Highway 30 near M Avenue. The location was reported as a controlled burn by the land owner earlier in the day on Thursday.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
