All dog owners are invited to a Doggie Easter Egg Hunt this weekend in Jefferson.
Linn Price with the Animal Protection and Education Charity (A.P.E.) is partnering with the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department to once again host the annual Easter egg hunt. Price says plastic eggs will be scattered along the walking trail at Daubendiek Park. Each egg has dog treats in them. At the end of the hunt, owners can turn in the eggs and pick up a treat bag or a toy for each canine. Price adds that all treats and toys are donated from Iowa Animal Partnership.
The cost to participate is $4 per dog with all proceeds going to A.P.E.’s low cost spaying and neutering clinics.
The hunt begins at 1pm tomorrow with registrations at 12:30pm at the shelter house at the park. Pre-registrations are encouraged but not required.
