All cancer survivors and caregivers are invited to join monthly meetings of the Greene County Cancer Support Group.

Organizer Sharon Stalder of Jefferson formed the group so that she could reach as many cancer survivors as possible.  She has been successfully fighting her cancer for 18 years and she leads the group discussions and meditations.

The meetings are held every third Tuesday of the month at Christ Lutheran Church in Jefferson at 7pm and the third Thursday at 4pm at the H.F. & Maude E. Marchant Memorial Library in Scranton.  Caregivers are also invited to attend.

Discussion topics include encouragement sharing, dealing with fears of the three recognized stages of cancer, how to be gracious during those stages and new opportunities.  Each meeting ends with attendees concerns and celebrations followed by a prayer.
