Funeral Mass for Bill Carstens, 84, of Perry, will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Perry. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, from 1-7 p.m., with family present from 5-7 p.m. at Carris Family Funeral Home. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. with Military Rites to follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Denison at a later date. Survivors include his wife, Lois Carstens of Perry; sons, Michael Carstens of Minburn, Richard Carstens of Waterloo and Jeffrey Carstens of Des Moines; daughter, Kerry Carstens of Des Moines; 10 granchildren; brothers, Burnell Carstens of CA, Neal Carstens of Dows City and Mark Carstens of California and a sister, Beverly Winn of Denison.
