ADM girls soccer finally got a chance to take the pitch against another team Thursday night, playing to a 0-0 draw in a scrimmage at the North Polk Comets.

Tigers head coach Kelsey Dolder told Raccoon Valley Radio her team started shaky in the beginning as North Polk brought a lot of attacking pressure and tested the Tigers inexperienced back line. She said the team’s effort was much better in the second half, when ADM created several good scoring opportunities made possible by good passing.

Dolder also lauded the play of senior and leading returning goal scorer Emily Hofmann, who got several high-quality shots on goal and made several key crosses that put other players into good scoring opportunities. Sophomore Sydney Bertman, the team’s second leading returning scoring, also got off a number of shots.

The Tigers open the regular season Monday night at home against Car roll.
