Greene County High School has no fewer than eight girls on the team with past State Meet experience. One of the returning veterans is senior long jumper/sprinter Emma Saddoris. Raccoon Valley Radio asked Emma what her senior season goals were. “Last year I kind of dissapointed myself in long jump, so I’m hoping to improve in that, and I’m really looking forward to running the 4 x 100, 4 x 200, sprint medley, and the 4 x 400. We have a lot of good runners on my team and I hope we accomplish all of our goals together.”
Saddoris talks about goals for two of the relays. “We went to State in the Sprint Med and the 4 x 400 last year together and we improved our times in both of those, and we ran really well, so I’m hoping we can get back there and do that same thing again.”
The Rams are in a girls only meet today in Audubon. The Greene County boys go to Friday’s Winterset Husky Relays, then both Ram teams head to Panora on Tuesday, April 7 for the Kip Janvrin Panorama Relays.
