Those who visit the nearby High Trestle Trail will soon be able to enjoy another food option.
The Hotel Pattee is partnering with the Flat Tire Lounge and will soon launch the Frontier Shack in Madrid. Named after a dining car on the “City of Denver” train, the Frontier Shack will bring food favorites from the Hotel Pattee’s David’s Milwaukee Diner to the trailhead.
The shack was moved to its new home Tuesday but an opening date has not yet been announced.
Fundraising efforts to connect the High Trestle Trail in Woodward to the Raccoon River Valley Trail in Perry continue. So far more than $350,000 in grants have been received and private donations continue to come in. The total project cost is estimated at around $5 million.
