State Representative Clel Baudler has been working with numerous County Attorneys in crafting his bill which recommends larger penalties for the distribution and use of synthetic marijuana. Baudler says the attorneys wanted a law that would be convenient and realistic for them to enforce. Baudler believes the finished product complies with their request. “Making it worth their time to prosecute these people and hopefully use that threat of incarceration to find out where they bought it and who they bought it from, to stop the supply chain.”

The bill passed in the House 83 ayes to 13 nays and is now headed to the Senate.
